AmPharmCo Corporate Management and Overview

American Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics, Inc. dba AmPharmCo. was founded in April 1999. The company is closely held by two families, J. B. Payne and Hsi-tang (Nick) Tung. Both owners are Doctors of Veterinary Medicine with Ph.Ds in Veterinary Microbiology. The two founders also own and operate American Animal Health, Inc., founded in 1982. American Animal Health has enjoyed much success producing Veterinary Bacterins for sale throughout the United States and Canada.

AmPharmCo is an FDA registered facility whose mission is to become a major cGMP contract manufacturer of both veterinary and human pharmaceuticals. The initial emphasis has been on the Veterinary Pharmaceuticals side. However, key employees are in place who have considerable experience in human pharmaceuticals, cosmetics manufacturing and regulations. AmPharmCo aims to establish viable partnerships with clients by providing solutions for their manufacturing and packaging needs, with the capability of validating and manufacturing pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetic products.

 
 

Jerry B. Payne, D.V.M, Ph.D., AmPharmCo’s President and co-founder, has worked in human and animal biologics since 1966, serving as Senior Microbiologist, Director of Scientific Affairs and Director of Operations at various major biological companies. Dr. Payne is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists and has chaired various committees of the Veterinary Biological Section of the American Health Institute. In 2002, Dr. Payne was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus Award by the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine.

 
 

Hsi-tang (Nick) Tung, D.V.M., Ph.D., Executive Vice President and co-founder, has worked in animal vaccine production for over 30 years. He was a Senior Microbiologist, Director of Quality Control and Director of Research and Development at several major biological firms. He and his R&D group continue with the important research and development of new vaccines for the US and Canadian cattle industries.
 
 

Frank Andrews  
Frank Andrews, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, is a native Texan with a degree from Texas Tech in Agriculture Economics. Frank has many years in the field of Pharmaceutical Sales with a broad range of expertise in the cattle industry. Before coming to American Animal Health, Frank served as Biological Product Manager for a large midwest firm. As VP of Sales and Marketing, Frank manages the contract manufacturing, private label opportunities in the companion animal and large animal areas, as well as assisting with American Animal Health’s private label vaccine operations in the US market.
 
 
Victor Corts, Vice-President of Pharmaceutical Operations, came to AmPharmCo in 1999 to create and establish the infrastructure of the contract manufacturing facility in Fort Worth. Victor is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Biology, holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is a member of ISPE. Over the past 25 years, Victor has held positions as V.P. of Operations at Banner Pharmacaps, General Manager at Block Drug Company and Director of Manufacturing at IGI/EVSCO Pharmaceuticals. He has directed the manufacture of human gelcap products and tablets, cosmetic lotion and cream products, as well as both oral and topical veterinary products.

Donna Fraunberger  
Donna Fraunberger, Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, is a degreed Chemist with more than 20 years experience in the human and veterinary pharmaceutical industry. Donna joined AmPharmCo in 1999 and created a Quality Control Laboratory, and Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs infrastructure compliant with current FDA and cGMP guidelines. Donna oversees the Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments and handles compliance with FDA, State and Local EPA, AAFCO animal nutritional regulations and registrations for domestic distribution and foreign export.
